SELECTED SKILLS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Worked with Colorado Historical Society and other government agencies to do “touch cart” presentations, classes and
interactive activities and lectures at places such as; Colorado and Utah school districts, Ute Indian Museum, La Plata County
Historical Society in Durango, Fort Garland, Fort Vasquez, Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum.

Presenter at the 2005 National Indian Education Association Convention in Denver, Colorado—teaching tribal administrators
about preservation through self-publishing.

Speaker at schools and special events to thousands adults, children throughout Colorado, Utah

Written and illustrated numerous publications featuring historical figures, places and events, which have been picked up by
numerous state and national parks and agencies.

Established Ute Heritage Day, Ute Heritage Week through writing proclamations which were signed by Governor Bill Owens
for the past three years.

Successfully coordinated and established a memorial walk to honor Colorado’s early ancestors and their
contribution to Colorado’s colorful history.

Ambassador for the Ute Indian Museum in Montrose, Colorado, to help encourage donations, support of historical preservation
projects, and help with special events

Volunteered at various Native American events to help promote diversity and to help others understand the importance of
preservation.

Volunteered as production assistant at AlterNative Voices Native Radio at KUVO-89.3, Denver, CO

Trainer for educators with the State Office of Education in Utah at two conferences. Educators learn how to turn history into a
hands-on experience—show, don’t just tell!
