ALTAR-MEDITATION BOX-HEAR MY PRAYER-Assemblage by Vickie Leigh Krudwig
I love boxes of every kind! They come in all kinds of shapes and sizes. The older and distinctive the better! This altar box, made from a cigar box, features the Virgin of Guadalupe. My boxes are assembled with old and new objects, mostly found, including religious fabric found in Santa Fe by my sister. This altar box is plain (on purpose) to remind us of our humanness and how complex we are. When we open the box, we find the Virgin of Guadalupe waiting for us to join her in contemplative prayer and meditation. Mirrors put ourselves inside this holy space. Bells represent the presence of angels and spirits amongst us.
Acrylic paints, gold leaf pens, fabric, glass beads and wire, mirrors, clothespin for photos or prayer requests.
PLEASE USE ONLY BATTERY OPERATED CANDLES IN THE BOX. Smoke from real candles will damage the interior.
Box Size: 11 inches tall, by 7 inches wide, 1.75 inches deep.
